2027 is execution year. This is the application cycle: calendars, essays, aid forms, and decisions. Not a time to start from a blank search box.

  1. September: get the file moving

    Update the activity list once. Ask two recommenders who actually know the work. Start official applications only from the school’s own site.

  2. Money, this month

    Run each school’s official net-price calculator. Scorecard estimated average net is a cohort figure, not your bill.

  3. Dates you must copy, not guess

    Verify this year’s official admissions, FAFSA/TASFA, and school calendars. Pathwise will not invent a due date.

  4. Family roles

    Student owns the list and the essays. Parent owns the calculator and one shared calendar. Leave a note; do not take the wheel.
