From the school's site

  • Early Decision and Early Action both close Nov. 1. ED aid forms are due Nov. 15. Source
  • If you answer 'No' to the SAT/ACT question for ED or EA, you cannot add scores later for the early review. If you answer 'Yes', self-report by Nov. 1 or you are read test-optional. Source
  • The ED Agreement needs applicant, parent and counselor signatures together. Signatures split between the online and printed versions do not count. Source
  • The School Report and the official transcript must arrive by the deadline. Ask the counselor to send them electronically. Source
  • A rejected FAFSA (usually missing student or parent signatures) can make you miss the March 1 aid deadline. Source
  • U-M does not use IDOC. Do not upload tax documents there; use Wolverine Access when asked. Source
  • Use FAFSA code 002325 (Ann Arbor). Other U-M campuses have different codes; remove them. Michigan residents should list U-M first. Source
  • Admitted students who self-reported SAT/ACT must send official scores. A big gap between self-reported and official scores can lead to the offer being revoked. Source
  • Do not send extra documents unless U-M asks. They can delay your decision. Source
  • Decisions post in Enrollment Connect; the alert comes from Michigan.Admissions@umich.edu. Add it to your safe list and check spam. Source
